    Denise,
I wanted to tell you ladies that you out did yourself this year. I had more fun this year than any other year. I can’t wait until next year. It’s going to be hard to top this.
Thank you all for such a wonderful time.

HELP! I want to make the awesome smashed potatoes, but I am a little confused…which is easy is for me LOL… The recipe calls for whipping cream then the directions say add milk? Which do I use for the best results? Thanks for your help…The Gathering was SPECTACULAR!!!!!I can’t wait till next year!

I loved the framed Joy to the World, but I didn’t see details on this blog for making one. Would it be possible to get instructions? Thanks!

  • Linda Dunbar says...

    Hi Deb!
Sorry for the confusion. The truth is both are right! You can use either one with great results. The heavy whipping cream makes for a richer potato, but milk works great too and of course has less calories. Not that it really matters when you are eating mashed potatoes anyway!
    thanks,
    Linda

Wow, What a great Christmas Gathering! I brought 5 people from work and they loved it. They could not get over the great gifts and wonderful ideas presented. It still has them talking at work and others are now interested in where they went and they all reply “The Church at BattleCreek”. I am excited that this might open a door for those without a church. Thanks to all of you.

My husband & I tried the “framed Joy to the World” idea. He took a picture of my mom’s favorite hymn from an old hymnal. Then googled an image of “old paper” with a large file size. In Photoshop Elements, he layered them and changed the “blending mode” to “multiply”. Now we have a jpg that I will be printing at Sam’s soon!

I think you can also do this in Publisher, by making one picture transparent, and putting the other in the background.

Loved the ideas. Could you please provide the website for the templates for the reindeer pictures, etc. Thanks Paula
Thank you for all the hard work in making this a wonderful evening for the women of Tulsa area.

What a fun girl’s night! As a busy new mom it’s hard to fit in time with the girls! I brought two friends that had a great time and were very impressed with the giveaways! I’ve already told many family members and friends about it for next year! It was my first Christmas Gathering and it was awesome! Denise and her friends were very entertaining from the moment we walked in until we walked out!!

Loved this session! Can you give instructions again for making the magnolia leaf wreath? Also, are the leaves used for the wreath still on the tree or have they fallen to the ground? Thanks!

  • Cassy Russell says...

Found the big magnolia wreath! Go to the below blog to see step-by-step instructions.

Just a note on the pumpkin crunch—it is only 1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice–NOT 4!!
And on the Peach Delight–it is not a 58 oz can–it is a large can but not the industrial size!!! We will get these corrected on the blog but just incase you are making them for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow I wanted you to have the right ingrediens!! Happy Thanksgiving all!!

I remember Meredith said she took it to Kinkos and had them blow it up, and then used some type of spray I thought to get the antique look and then modge podge over that. Can anyone tell me what the spray was?

What other ideas do you have for doors? Are there any websites that you would recommend for decorating ideas?
    Thank you,
    Julie Nold

  • Whitney M. says...

I am still confused about how to stain the paper for the “Joy to the World” activity. Did she use tea or coffee?? And, do you modge podge the song on first then stain?

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Hope you are all enjoying the Christmas season!
